Parents interested in applying for admission to Old St. Mary’s School should do so in the school year prior to the child’s entering school. Applications can be downloaded and the completed application, along with the child’s birth certificate and a $50 non-refundable application fee should be returned to the school no later than January 31. Only completed applications, with application fee and child’s birth certificate, will be reviewed. You and your child will be invited to school for an interview in February. Admissions decisions will be mailed in early March. Once a child has been accepted, a non-refundable registration fee of $500.00 must be submitted within two weeks of acceptance to confirm the child’s pl
acement. Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $7500 for preschool through 5th grade. Half day preschool tuition is $6000. Families with more than 1 child enrolled in the school are extended a 10% discount on the tuition for the 2nd and 3rd child. Tuition for the 2011-2012 school year is set by the School Board in the Spring.Any child entering school must be in compliance with the requirements of the State of Illinois regarding age of admission. Preschool students must be able to handle all bathroom needs independently. Preschool students must be three or four years before September 1. Students entering kindergarten must be five before September 1.
Parents interested in more information about the school are encouraged to attend one of our School Tours, scheduled for September 24, October 7, October 21, November 12, December 10, and January 14. These School Tours are for parents only and provide an opportunity to learn about the school programs and observe our classrooms.
